The UFC’s First Wrestler
Dan “The Beast” Severn is a wrestling icon, UFC Hall of Famer and retired pro fighter with an official MMA record of 101-19-1.
Dan entered the UFC at UFC 4 in 1994 and immediately started ragdolling his opponents, earning 2 submissions, until finally getting triangled by Royce Gracie to lose the tournament.
He returned at UFC 5 the next year and finished all 3 of his opponents to become the tournament champion.
However, later that year Severn would lose his UFC 6 superfight with UFC legend Ken Shamrock via submission.
He bounced back a few months later to compete in the toughest UFC tournament to date, Ultimate Ultiamte 1995, 
defeating Paul Varelans, Tank Abbot, and Oleg Taktarov to become the tournament champion.
And at UFC 9, in his rematch with Ken Shamrock, he got the judges nod to become the superfight champion, earning his third UFC title, and adding to the legend of
