Talking to a non-foster friend, explaining things to friends who don’t foster

It’s important to recognize that just because it may seem like nothing is being done, there is often a lot going on we don’t know about.

Do I think kids should have to wait and wait forever? No. Do I think that we need to give parents enough time for their circumstances to change? Yes. It’s hard to balance time and work. And meanwhile kids keep growing.

I know you get it, but at least for me, a lot of outsiders really don’t get it. I’ve gotten this comment before, have you?
