Things in trucking can go really bad like really fast so doing your own preventative maintenance is critical being a truck driver. But when you are a rookie and not really great at doing handy work like this then you can make things worse for your semi truck. I greased my fifth wheel with a grease gun and alot of old school truckers said dont do it like that. So I learned a new way. Grease it with your hands and only do it half way on the fifth wheel plate. Then when you back into the trailer it will push all the grease up the rest of the fifth wheel without making a mess.
