RETURNED Dodge Jeep Chrysler 4.7L Powertech V8 Engine Teardown. From The Bottom Of The Scrap Bin!

You Ask, I Deliver!
In nearly every teardown video, I see comments asking for a 3.7 or 4.7 powertech V8 from dodge/jeep/chrysler. Finally, I fulfill those requests with a 4.7L V8 from a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee.
Are you wondering what other engines I've torn down? There are over 120 more teardowns you can find here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLIYwo7JlrVQVg32JL-r4H7dfMxMqzWlVa

The 4.7L V8 Debuted for the 1999 Model year grand Cherokee and was offered until the 2013 Model year. These were in a variety of vehicles including the Ram, Dakota, Raider, Durango, Aspen, Commander and the Grand Cherokee. They range in power from 220hp to 265hp in the Highoutput version found in the Grand Cherokee overland. This particular engine was found at the bottom of a scrap lugger bucket(metal dumpster) with engines on top of it, and a foot or more of water in it. Of course I dug it out with the help from a couple of the yard guys and a forklift with a chain. It looks the part of an engine you'd find in that situation.

Why am I doing this? I own and run a full service auto salvage business in the Saint Louis area, called Importapart. Part of our model includes buying core/blown/failed engines and dismantling them to salvage the good, usable parts for resale. We do not rebuild engines, merely supply parts to those that do!
You can peruse our inventory of parts and parts cars at www.Importapart.com or email us at [email protected].

I hope you enjoyed this teardown. As always, I love all of the comments, feedback, and even the criticism. Catch you on the next one!
