Restoring Playstation 3 Slim with No Power – Console Restoration & Repair

I will restore this broken PS3 slim that has no power at all. I will also remove the yellowing  and give the console a basic clean up. The console has no power at all, fault like this is typically because of broken power source, but in this case the issue is with main board.

I started the project with disassembly. The console needs a special safety torx tip to open it. Link to my screwdriver set is at the bottom of this description. Now the tricky part, there are not any available schematics for this exact model of PS3 that I could find. But there are some available that are a little similar which provide some hints what might be the issue. https://www.psdevwiki.com/ is a great place to look for this information. I knew that even in standby mode the red led should be on, so I knew the issue must be between the power source (which I confirmed to be working as it should) and the red LED. First I searched info on the switch boards (https://www.psdevwiki.com/ps3/Switch_boards) I can see the red LED is powered from the Syscon SW2-30x power chip. That 3.3V was not coming in but the switch board was getting 5V straight from the power source. This made me think the syscon was faulty. I found pinout for the chip https://www.psdevwiki.com/ps3/Template:Syscon_pinout_LQFP_128_pins this pinout is for different model of PS3 slim but it seemed to be very close. The sheet on the link lists standby voltages for each pin of the chip as well as other information. The list is gathered by hobbyists so it might not be 100% reliable. I could see that pin 6 from syscon goes to the red LED. That pin was not putting out the 3.3V. The chip also has 2 separate 3.3V input rails. They are called EVER_A and EVER_B. My console was missing the voltage coming from the EVER_B. Now the list says both EVER_A and B come from voltage regulator Mitsumi 463A. But that is where my model of the console is different, I don't have Mitsumi 463A at all. I had these separate smaller regulators. So after long search I was able to conclude the 3.3V power should come from the regulators I show on the video. The regulators were getting power input but no output. So I decided to try to replace them. But I got it working so I must be on the right track.
