Saturday, April 1, 2023 While sleeping above the nest, E22 was hit by an owl and knocked to a lower tree branch where it stayed until the morning and eventually fledged or flew for the first time. E21 continues to be out exploring and has not returned since yesterday which is normal behavior at this stage of development.
