New foster parent vs experienced: Late for pick up of foster child

Foster parents are humans! You will never be perfect. 

Here’s an example of how to handle a situation if you are running late. Kids who have experienced neglect may be extra sensitive in these moments. It may remind them of a time they were forgotten about or left somewhere. Do your best to connect and repair. ❤️‍🩹
