Missing sub: ‘It would have been immediate – milliseconds’, says friend of passengers

David Mearns a rescue expert who knows two of the passengers on board Titan says "they don't use phrases like debris field unless there's no chance of a recovery of the men alive". 

Speaking about if there had been an implosion, he said: "The only saving grace is that it would have been immediate, literally in milliseconds and the men would have no idea what was happening."
