Rosas Jr Has a Lot to Learn

After his dominant outing on Dana White’s contender series, Raul Rosas JR became the youngest fighter ever signed to the UFC at 17 years old.

And the undefeated prospect had an impressive UFC debut, securing a first round neck crank to advance to 7-0.

But at UFC 287, Rosas would face adversity,

Boasting unmatched confidence ahead of their bout,

Raul put on a relentless pace and even took Christian Rodriguez’s back in round 1, 

But in round 2, Raul found himself on the wrong end of several exchanges, where he was outgrappled, exhausted and had his back taken.

And round 3 was more of the same with Raul fighting not to get finished.

Ultimately, Raul lost a clear decision.

And while I do feel he will be in the title picture in the future, it seems that looking past his opponent and not fighting at a sustainable pace makes it clear that
