HOW TO CATCH AND COOK AN IGUANA

The focus of this vid is how to catch the Iguana. If you’re looking for a recipe, go to a previous video(more iguana recipes coming soon). When hunting these lizards it’s important to be patient. Often times the first time you sneak up on them they get spooked and run. After a few sneaking attempts, the Iguanas will start to get more bold and stand their ground.

Some of my most successful Iguana catches have been over a hedge. The lizards think that because the hedge separates them from me there is no way to get them(obviously this is false).

Some of the key elements to capturing one of these reptiles is your ability to go slow, and timing with the nuce. I recommend walking towards the iguanas slowly(if you go too fast they’ll run) and slipping the nuce over their heads slowly(they don’t mind the line on their neck, I’m sure they think it’s a bug).

Iguanas have been a PROBLEM SPECIES for the state of Florida since the 1960’s. They eat massive amounts of vegetation, have little natural predators, and burrow under buildings which eventually causes the buildings to collapse.

Because they’re invasive and such a big problem, the state WANTS YOU to dispose of them(whether you eat them or not).

I hope this video encourages people to go out and reduce the iguana population, if you do, make a video and tag me!! I’m going to be inviting a random person out to do a catch and cook with me soon 🤗🦎🥘
