I still can’t believe that we just dropped Rylan off at COLLEGE! It’s hard for us, since she graduated High School, so technically we are losing her 6 months earlier than we expected, but Shaun and I are SO PROUD and excited for her to follow in our footsteps at BYU, GO COUGS! I’m all over the place with emotions.

Goodbyes are always sad, especially with her siblings, but this one was a bit easier because she flies back to Dallas this weekend with Kamri for our Hairitage new product photoshoot! Brooklyn and Bailey, and the hubbies are really gonna miss her. Paisley's goodbye was probably the saddest, because she has really bonded with Rylan lately! That, and I was actually going to see her the next day. (Shaun and Rylan left very early in the morning for the drive out to Utah, and Daxton did not want to wake up for it... he said mumbling with his pillow over his head, "Just tell her I said goodbye"😂)
Rylan and Shaun left a day before I did, to drive her car and all her stuff out to Utah, and I flew in the next day. She and Shaun picked up her student ID and dorm key, and after they picked me up, we started moving her in with some help from Kamri. Shaun and I had to make a few Walmart and Target runs, with a little Home Goods but she’s all set up in her dorm room!. Rylan now has all her text books, schedule and everything she needs to start class as a Freshman on campus TODAY!
Rylan is majoring in Communications & Advertising, hoping to go pre-law, but she’s taking classes that also interest her like Anthropology an Writing. I know she’s going to thrive and do so well at them! Rylan texted us this morning to let us that it took her 17 minutes to walk across campus to get to her first class, and that she’s already met some really cool people.
