COME TO SCOTLAND WITH US! Itinerary, Hikes, What to do / see ETC! | Casey Holmes Vlogs

Welcome to our Scotland Vlog. By far one of the most memorable trips that we have ever taken. Its incredibly beautiful & worth the trip if you get a chance to go! I would love to go back during early Spring / April or early fall to do it again & see more spots! Listing everything we did below! If you have any questions, feel free to comment below!

What I Packed: We went at the end of March and we decided to take a few of our lightweight rain coats & a few layering pieces! I wore leggings majority of the time, vests, my hokas & hiking boots. We wanted to explore majority of the time, so I made sure to bring those comfy / waterproof clothes. It tends to rain on and off so having a lightweight jacket with a hood was best. I did pack a few outfits for the city but brought one pair of my “dressy” sneakers to pair with pretty much everything! Wore jeans and a cute top majority of the time.

For makeup I have a full reel on instagram sharing the makeup bag & makeup I took in my carry on. It was PERFECT for our road trips since I was doing my makeup in the car majority of the time.

I recommend packing a few lightweight outfits in a carry on and some travel skincare/body care items incase your luggage gets lost like ours was. Mine arrived on day 3 and Davis’ didn’t arrive until day 5.

Itinerary:
Land in Edinburgh airport
Car rental pick up - We drove our own car until we got to the city & then we parked and walked majority of the time! FYI you drive on the left side of the road and there are lots of roundabouts haha
Headed straight to Falkland where the Covenanter Hotel is (outlander fans this ones for you)
Next we went straight to Inverness to sleep and get ready for the next day (this is about a 3 hour drive)

March 21-23
Inverness:
St Andrews Cathedral
Urquhart Castle / Lockness
Xoko for breakfast is good in Inverness! Get the cinnamon roll. Its AMAZING.
Culloden Battlefield - do the tour with the guide! It was short/simple & a great way to learn the history.
Clava carins (not a far drive after the battlefield) Pretty location to see
The arched bridge is near Clava carins and is a pretty view.
Headed to Dunrobin castle after this and unfortunately it was closed! Opened April 1st. a MUST SEE in my opinion. Its absolutely beautiful.
After that we headed to our hotel in Isle of Skye:
Skeabost House Hotel

March 23-25
Isle of Skye: (one of my favorite locations)
Kilt rock & Mealt Falls (was closed when we went for construction)
Isle of Storr Hike
Fairy Pools
Cafe near the fairy pools: Cafe Cuil - get the espresso martini! So good
Eileen Donan castle on the way to Ft William

March 25-26
Fort William:
Hotel: Achintore Road
Steall falls hike
(I recommend staying here another night or so! Lots of beautiful hikes to do)
On the way to Edinburgh we stopped at Sterling Castle.

Try to travel from each location during the day. The landscapes are INCREDIBLEEEEEEE like wow.

March 26-1st
Edinburgh:
Hotel: Virgin Hotels Edinburgh - great location on Victoria street
Edinburgh Castle
Lallybrough & Blackness castle (both of these aren’t far from each other and about a 35 min outside of the city!)
Ross foundation
Arthurs Seat Summit
Dean Village
Circus lane
