This classic 1984 Toyota Land Cruiser broke through the ice when crossing a flooded and frozen portion of the trail and got stuck in the middle. Unfortunately they had to leave it overnight and and the cold temperatures froze it in place. A friend of mine stopped and attempted to winch them out, but the ice was too hard and it just stalled out his winch, so I brought the 4x4 wrecker out so that I could use the boom to provide some lift to help break it free. After I got it to pop free of the ice, it was a simple pull all the way back to solid ground. Overall it was a very simple job, just with a very hard pull at the beginning to break the ice.
