I was hoping this might be usable as a mini ring light.
I saw this COB based led keychain light and wondered if it had a donut shaped COB that could be used as a ring light for a miniature camera. The answer is yes and no. It COULD be adapted with a bit of effort, but is not totally suited to the application. The modification would require removing the button and drilling a hole in its place, then bypassing the control circuitry. It's a neat enough little light. I've seen the clever spring loaded clasp mechanism before. It's very simple and makes me wonder who came up with the original concept of differing leg lengths to give an inherent self-closing effect. Those cameras are quite similar as far as megapixels etc go but produce very different photos - the Galaxy Z Fold 5 once again pumps out brighter, bolder shots. I prefer the video quality of that Sammy smartphone too. However, the Samsung Z Fold 5 does serve up a smaller battery. All the same, I've found that drain on this and the Pixel Fold is very similar. And the Galaxy is hands down the winner for gaming on Genshin Impact etc, with its Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 smarts. I also prefer the software experience on the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5, which I never thought I'd say. It handles split screen action better and can max out apps on that internal display, unlike the Pixel. That's my thoughts, are you more tempted by the Z Fold 5 or that Pixel Fold?
