Ariana Grande got a tattoo written in Japanese but it didn’t say what she thought it said. After her song “7 Rings” went Number 1 on the charts, Ariana knew she had to do something to never forget it. She decided to get the words “7 Rings” tattooed in Japanese on her palm but Ariana couldn’t believe what happened next. She went home after going to the tattoo parlor and looked up the translation of her new ink. But it wasn’t what she wanted it to translate to! She didn’t know that the Japanese “7” character and the word “rings” created a phrase that meant something completely different. Her tattoo translated to saying, “small charcoal grill” and Ariana was so embarrassed! Ariana tried to joke about it and tweeted she was a fan of “tiny barbeque grills.” But she wanted to fix the tattoo so she immediately went back to the shop. She asked the tattoo artist to add a few more characters to fix the mistake. But her tattoo still didn’t make sense! The new tattoo translates to “Japanese Barbecue finger” and Ariana is still embarrassed about it to this day.
