Family of Provo man killed in FBI shootout says Biden threats were First Amendment right

The family of a man who died in a shootout with FBI agents outside his Provo home Wednesday has released a statement.

Craig Robertson's public Facebook profile was filled with threats against President Joe Biden and other leaders, and court documents included social posts that showed an arsenal of assault-type rifles he claimed belonged to him alongside posts where he fantasized about killing the president in sniper fashion.

The statement, provided to 2News on Thursday afternoon, said Robertson was exercising his First Amendment right to freedom of speech.
