CRASH-PROOFING THE FRONT OF MY TURBOCHARGED ’61 CADDY!
Wow, this is Episode 251 of Mike Finnegan's Garage and I can't believe we've come this far! I say "We" because you guys and girls are as much a part of the fun of this channel and those of us who make it are. It's a been a wild ride and it will only get wilder as we continue to tackle some of the crazy projects around the basement shop of my house. Today we are once again working on my 1961 Cadillac Coupe Deville and I'm so stoked at the progress. In this video we are moving the turbos and making new front bars to complete the rollcage. This is involves lots of my favorite thing; fabrication!
Oh yeah, don't buy this step drill bit unless you like struggling because it truly sucks:

At $32.00 it was not worth the money I spent. I did the job, but not very efficiently and the hole it make was not round or clean. My favorite version of step drill bit is made by Dewalt but that company does not offer one larger than 1-1/8 inch.
I do recommend the welder I used in this video, the Miller Multimatic 220 AC/DC. It works so damn good! Here is more info on it: https://www.millerwelds.com/equipment/welders/multiprocess/multimatic-220-acdc-multiprocess-welder-m30190
