Trailer Maintenance- Don’t Forget to Change the Oil

It’s time to change the oil on this trailer.
I start by getting the trailer level, so all the oil will drain out.
The oil pan on this trailer is located in front of the axle, and the drain plug is easy to get to.
You can see how dirty this oil is- I’ve been doing quite a bit of towing lately.
I try to change it at least every 5,000 miles or twice a year.
I switched to synthetic oil a couple years back, and I’ve really noticed a big difference in performance.
4 quarts and it’s full.
I check the dipstick to make sure I’ve got it topped off to the right level- look’s good.
Now it’s ready to get back to work. @hausplans
