Wagyu A5 Spam
Growing up I had always perceived Spam negatively. But turns out it’s actually made of simple/fairly high quality ingredients, and has a pretty wild history. It became popular in WW2 and the US government purchased 100 million lbs for soldiers in the war (they were eating it 2-3 times a day). If you love spam I’d encourage you to check out the @SPAMbrand museum virtual tour, or my Youtube video where I go over more of the history.
Naturally I had to try turning this iconic product premium. Spam is not traditionally made with beef so this sorta felt like cheating, but either way it was a fun one!
