There is actually a reference to the comic accurate look of a particular character. When Loki enters Valkyrie’s mind and witnesses how Hela massacred all of the other Valkyries, we see how one sacrificed herself to save the Valkyrie that prominently features in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, take notice of the look of the Valkyrie who sacrificed herself. She happens to be an easter egg for how our main Valkyrie appears in the comics.
