Ingredients for each sandwich
- 3-4 slices roast turkey breast (about 160g)
- 2 pieces cooked streaky bacon
- 2 pieces Texas toast
- 3 slices tomato
- Mornay sauce
- Extra pecorino
Method
1. Toast the Texas toast and place it on an oven safe dish.
2. Next, add layers of turkey breast and sliced tomato.
3. Pour over the mornay sauce and top with bacon and grated pecorino.
4. Grill on high for 3-4 minutes or until golden brown.
5. Enjoy!
Ingredients Mornay sauce (makes enough for 6 sandwiches)
- 30g butter
- 30g flour
- 500ml milk
- 160g pecorino grated
- Salt and pepper to taste
Method
1. Melt the butter in a small pot over medium heat.
2. Once the butter has melted, add the flour and stir over medium heat until it's lightly toasted and well incorporated into the butter.
3. Add the milk and whisk until smooth.
4. Add the cheese and mix until melted.
5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
