0:00 Intro
0:05 Truck door was fixed properly. Unsure who actually "fixed" the door and did this bodywork but it was quite the unusual "fix".
0:22 This shop fixed it and wired the radio correctly. Fortunately for the owner nothing when up in flames due to the terrible wiring job that was done for the radio.
0:36 "The car was hydro locked when it came to us. We took the plugs out and got all of the oil out of it. This was residual oil burning off."
0:48 Outer tie rod ends need to be threaded more than 1 and a quarter turns onto an inner tie-rod end. This could have ended badly for the customer and the inner tie rod end could have threaded out of the outer tie rod end.
0:57 If the customer hits a speed bump or pothole there's a good chance the ball joint would pop out of the steering knuckle/spindle and cause quite a bit of damage.
1:08 Real country sausage was left underneath the seat which was the awful smell that the technician smelled.
1:23 The cotton candy air freshener got sucked into the mass air flow sensor which caused some weird driveability concerns for the customer. The technician has no clue why air fresheners were in the air filter box, but he cleaned off the MAF (mass air flow) sensor after removing the air freshener and it fixed the customer's concern.
1:34 Sand and mud made their way onto the mass air flow sensor. The technician replaced the sensor, cleaned the intake, air filter box, and replaced the air filter. Fortunately, there was no mud/sand that they could see that made its way into the engine.
1:42 The vehicle was towed in. Subframe was replaced under recall.
1:54 The technician said the battery cable was so long that it touched the ground. The Ground cable was shortened and properly grounded.
2:07 "Pretty ballsy to play around with HV control systems when not really knowing what’s going on." The shop quoted around $10k to replace the high-voltage batteries in this electric Ford Focus.
2:20 No extra info.
2:32 The noise the customer heard was from the harmonica zip-tied to the front grill. One of his friends most likely pulled a prank on him.
2:41 The u-bolts were extended using exhaust hangers. A proper leaf spring spacer was installed and new u-bolts and nuts.
2:50 A dodge charger that had this custom vinyl wrap on it that was done by the customer.
3:05 Outro. Thanks for watching!
