Police in Nashville confirmed that a 28-year-old who carried out a shooting at a Christian elementary school was transgender. Forensic psychologist Dr. Kris Mohandie says police will likely investigate whether sexual identity struggles were part of “seeds of grievance” that motivated the shooting. Psychologist Dr. Erica Anderson says people shouldn’t rush to judgment or conclusions until more information is known about the shooter’s background.
