‘Sleepy Joe turned into Shouty Joe’ during his State of the Union address

Under extreme pressure over the economy, the border, and standing up to China, “Sleepy Joe turned into Shouty Joe” during his State of the Union address, according to Sky News host Chris Kenny. 

“There wasn't much new that came out of Biden’s speech and at least Biden seemed reasonably energetic, but he was barely coherent or consistent,” Mr Kenny said. 

“The President’s digs at the Republicans in the chamber, some of whom took the bait – well, it led to some pretty ugly scenes, more of a bear pit than a presidential address.” 

He said while President Biden promised to unite the US, he’s done “nothing of the sort” and has shown “no interest in doing so”. 

“I reckon this State of the Union address shows what a divisive, unproductive and hyper-partisan two years we’ll see until the next election. In other words, situation normal,” Mr Kenny said.
