A strong weather system that passed through Northern California on Wednesday night brought dangerous winds that led to downed trees and power outages across the state. Thursday brought more rain to the Valley and Foothills but is tapering. Snow will continue to fall in the Sierra through the evening hours. Friday is expected to stay mostly dry, with another system moving in this weekend.
