Hong Kong has always been more complex than most would think. A product of British colonialism and Chinese culture, there's nowhere else in the world like Hong Kong. It gets even more interesting when you visit the Nepali guesthouses, the Nigerian barbershops, the Indian restaurants and the Filipino parties in the park.

That's what I decided to do. From the infamous Chungking Mansions, to the remote corners of the New Territories on the border with China, my last journey in Hong Kong was going to be one to remember. This was a Hong Kong that foreigners never see; in fact, it's a Hong Kong that not even China or the Hong Kongers themselves often see.
